At Breckenridge Coffee Roasters we approach the coffee industry in a way that strives to respect, support and celebrate everyone who contributes to making your morning cup of coffee possible.
More Than Coffee is the way we give back.
Whether it is supplying coffee for volunteer projects here in the mountains or taking a portion of our sales and reinvesting them into the farming communities, we want to bring the coffee industry full circle and give back to the people that allow us to do what we do best: roast coffee.
MORE THAN COFFEE: PROJECT #2
NAVY HOSPITAL CORPSMAN JOEL BOOTH BLEND
Project #2 Goal: With the sales of our 50 limited edition Joel Booth Blend bags, $5 from each bag will go towards the construction costs of the Booth family's future specially adapted custom home.
We are proud to partner with Homes For Our Troops, a nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post - 9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives.
The Navy HM Joel Booth Blend was developed by Joel himself with the support of the Breck Coffee roasting team. To learn more about Joel’s story, please head here.
PROJECT #2: COMPLETE
You guys, WE DID IT! The second More Than Coffee project, the Joel Booth Blend, is complete and we couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you to everyone who supported this project by purchasing a bag, or just by spreading the word. With the funds raised from these 50 bags, Joel Booth and his family are one step closer to moving into their custom adapted home right here in Colorado and built by @homesforourtroops
Joel and his family have given a lot to our country. It has been an honor to have the chance to thank them for their service and give back in the best way we know how, through coffee. We are in the business of making coffee, but at the end of the day, it’s about more than just coffee. It’s about supporting each other, one cup of coffee at a time.
THANK YOU!
The Breckenridge Coffee Roasters Team

PROJECT #1: COMPLETE
We are happy to announce the completion of our More Than Coffee Project #1. This story, like a cup of the Copper Condor coffee, all started and revolved around the farming community in the Fresna Village of Tolima, Colombia. When this project initially launched in March of this year, our goal was to raise enough funds to purchase the raw materials necessary to build a second classroom for the elementary school in the Fresna village. This second classroom meant that the school could continue teaching children past the 5th grade, their current capacity limit, all the way until the 8th grade. However, with COVID-19 changing how many countries around the world are approaching the education system and causing some to switch to online teaching instead of in person, our Project #1 goals have adjusted along with them.
With the help of our friends at Vergel Estates, we were able to raise enough funds to work towards improving the school infrastructure in their community. Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic and current school closures, we decided along with the Fresna community that the funds would go towards purchasing a school computer, printer and setting up Wi-Fi. With these three technological advances, the school and community will have access to online educational programs and the ability to print learning materials they can use at home versus in the classroom.
We would like to thank all the people who helped make our first project a success by purchasing a bag of Copper Condor coffee. A special thanks goes to the family of Vergel Estates, because without them we could not have completed this More Than Coffee project or even roasted this Copper Condor coffee that you can enjoy drinking while feeling good about the impact your support has caused.
With many thanks,
The Breckenridge Coffee Roasters Team
